जब भी कोई ख्वाब बुन लेती हूं,
उसी जद्दोजहद में ढल जाती हूं,
न दिन न रात की सुध लेती हूं,
उसी को अपनी हस्ती बना लेती हूं।
इस बार भी कुछ ऐसा हुआ,
कि मैंने उम्मीद ही लगा डाली,
मेरे वजूद ने ही सवाल उठाया,
एक छोटी सी क्या आस लगाई।
ऐसी क्या अर्जी डाली है मैंने,
ऊपरवाला भी बस सोच रहा है,
सुन ले मेरी गुहार बस तू,
दिल भरा है पर सिर झुकाए हूं।
तो जब कभी न हाल बता पाऊं,
और उलझ जाऊं कशमकश में,
उन शब्दों को ही पिरो लेती हूं,
तब जाके दिल ये हल्का हो पाए।
