I had a dream that I would fly,
To touch the blazing sun in
the sky,
That strong desire to shine
my name,
Reaching that height was no
shame.
I could not reach the
mountain peak,
My climbing rope was too
weak,
I fell so hard from that
cliff,
Didn’t realize, the
aftermath was also stiff.
My tears were burning the
midnight oil,
My heartbeats were twisted
like a coil,
I was tormented by
backlash,
And was treated like trash.
I woke up from a deep
slumber,
A distant voice soothed
away the cumber,
I reached the moon as I had
hope,
With her light I could
finally cope.
So, believe this when I
say,
Keeping hope is the only
way,
You cross the night to live
another day,
Darkest of tunnels too,
have a ray.
